Hallo! We are Esther Stanford and Susie Riddell, friends for over 35 years, actors, writers, mums, and now, award-winning podcasters 🙌 LTO has won an International Women's Podcast Award 2025 for Comedy.
LTO is a mix of chat, original comedy sketches, a tiny voice of reason (played by Susie's daughter, Beatrice) and interviews with interesting people (both famous & not so). Our aim is to make a pick-me-up in podcast form, to give you a weekly boost, and to create a community in which we can laugh, sometimes have a little weep, and bond over our shared experiences. Our guest is NADIA ATTURA, an award-winning artist known for her evocative, layered landscapes and unmistakable visual style.
From a young age, Nadia knew she wanted to be an artist — a deep inner calling that never left her. But it was the birth of her daughter that became the true turning point, inspiring her to fully commit to her artistic path and make creativity her reality. That powerful sense of purpose has shaped everything since.
Working with analogue and digital processes, Nadia creates richly textured scenes that transport the viewer into a world of colour, emotion, and memory. Her unique work has attracted a loyal following — including celebrity clients — and has been exhibited internationally and featured in major collections and exhibitions.
We talk to Nadia about what drives her creativity, how becoming a mother fuelled her artistic ambition, her process from inspiration to finished piece, and the deep ‘why’ behind everything she makes.
We found our conversation with Nadia truly inspiring. And we're certain you will too!

This week's topic got Esther's heart a-racing and her engine purring. 'Cos we chatting about KITTENS! Other animals are available. You'll hear all about Pablo the kitten, a bit more about Button the cat, and we discuss why on earth there has to be a divide between dog people and cat people? Can't we like both?! With unexpected revelations, some excellent animal impressions (ok, that MIGHT be an exaggeration...) and a hint of the T-word (that's TOUR, people people!) it's a brief delight of a mini-episode.

Our special guest is the brilliant BEN WHITEHEAD – the talented actor and voice artist best known as the voice of Wallace in the beloved Wallace and Gromit films.
Ben is a leading figure in the world of voice acting, having taken over the iconic role from Peter Sallis, with whom he worked closely before stepping into Wallace’s well-loved shoes (and possibly slippers). His work continues to bring joy to audiences around the world through the timeless charm and humour of Aardman’s creations.
In this conversation, we talk to Ben about how he got started in voice work, what it was like working alongside Peter Sallis, and the unique process behind bringing animated characters to life. We also chat about the importance of seizing opportunities when they arise, his advice for aspiring voice actors—and, of course, that unforgettable trip to the Oscars.
There’s something delightfully British about this episode—it’s equal parts heartwarming, hilarious, and just the right amount of bonkers.

Emma is a broadcaster, cultural commentator, script editor, and producer behind some of the most iconic films of our time—think Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Love Actually. She’s also a driving force behind Comic Relief, helping to raise millions for important causes.
Over her incredible career, Emma has interviewed everyone from David Attenborough to Mary Berry to Al Pacino, hosted arts shows, written for top publications, and shaped some of the most beloved stories in British cinema. She also happens to come from one of the most famous family lineages—she is the great-granddaughter of Sigmund Freud.
We recorded this episode a couple of weeks ago, on the 40th anniversary of Comic Relief, making it the perfect time to reflect on Emma’s incredible contribution to fundraising and entertainment.
In this conversation, we talk to Emma about how she got started in broadcasting, her approach to living in the present and staying open to new opportunities, and her latest role as host of The Archers Podcast—plus, just how much The Archers means to her. We also dive into parenting, the fascinating history of her family name, and some of the most surreal moments of her career.
